AI visibility readiness check

Can AI assistants actually read your website?

RankClear is a readiness check. It shows what AI assistants can reach, make sense of and quote on your site, what they can’t, and which fixes to make first. It may improve discoverability. It will never promise a mention.

Watch RankClear analyze a fictional US roofing contractor and produce a scored AI visibility report. No account, no email address.

Interactive sample using fictional demonstration data. Atlas Roofing & Exteriors is not a real company and no website was audited to produce these results.

7categories scored

Access, entity clarity, content authority, answer readiness, structured data, trust and evidence, and competitive visibility.

~70rule-based checks

Each score traces back to something we found on your pages. Nothing is random. Unchanged content returns an unchanged score.

0promises we make up

We report what we observed and how ready your site is. We never say a specific AI assistant will mention or recommend you.

The lens

AI assistants don’t read pages the way Google ranks them

Classic SEO chases a spot in a list of links. An assistant builds an answer from passages it can find, parse and credit. So we check whether it can:

  • Get into the site at all
  • Work out what the company does
  • Spot its people, places and expertise
  • Pull out passages that answer a question
  • Find an author and proof to trust
  • Tell its products and services apart
  • Connect the brand to the questions people ask
  • Quote and credit its content

How the headline score adds up

Every category earns 0-100 from its own checks, and fixed weights blend them. Skip the competitor field and Competitive Visibility shows as unavailable, with its weight spread across the rest.

The process

One URL in, one plan out

Nothing to install. No tag, no extension, no peek at your analytics. We read your public site as a crawler would.

  1. Step 1

    Hand over your URL

Give us your URL, business name, services and up to five competitors. Confirm the site is yours to audit.

  2. Step 2

We read it like a crawler

An identifiable crawler pulls up to 50 public pages, obeys robots.txt and writes down what it finds on each.

  3. Step 3

    Seven categories get a score

Around 70 rule-based checks, each tied to evidence. Same content in, same scores out.

  4. Step 4

You get a ranked to-do list

Each finding turns into an action: Do first, Next 30 days or Longer-term. Examples show what to change.

  5. Step 5

    Re-run and watch it move

Fix things, run it again, compare. Score history comes with Growth and Agency.

What gets scored

Early feedback

What users might say

RankClear is new, and we won’t fake social proof. These quotes are labeled samples until real, named testimonials take their place.

Sample
“Our service pages were basically mute to answer engines, and the report said why. We added FAQ markup and fixed six headings in one afternoon.”

Sample testimonial

Marketing lead, home services company

Sample
“Every new client gets a RankClear run before we talk strategy. The ranked to-do list is the first slide in the kickoff deck.”

Sample testimonial

Founder, digital marketing agency

Sample
“I stopped trusting audits that say “improve your content.” This one shows me the exact page, the exact value and what it found there.”

Sample testimonial

These are sample testimonials. They show the sort of feedback we are working to earn, and real, attributed customer quotes will replace them as we collect them.

Fair questions

Questions worth asking first

Straight answers on what we measure, what we can’t promise and how we treat your site.

What is GEO, in plain English?

Generative Engine Optimization is making your site easy for AI assistants to crawl, understand and quote accurately. It shares groundwork with SEO. The goal differs: instead of earning a spot in a list of links, you want your pages to hold clear passages an assistant can lift and credit to you.

Will RankClear get ChatGPT or Perplexity to recommend me?

No, and be wary of anyone who says they can. Nobody outside those companies controls what their assistants say. What we do is check the signals on your site that may improve discoverability: whether it can be found, read, understood and attributed. Then we list the gaps.

Isn’t this just an SEO audit with a new label?

Partly overlapping, mostly not. An SEO audit asks where a page might rank. We ask whether a single passage can stand on its own as an answer: is it clear who you are, is the answer easy to find, is there proof, is there an author, is there schema a machine can parse. Crawl access is the one area both cover.

What does it actually look at?

Up to 50 pages, depending on your plan. We read robots.txt, sitemaps and llms.txt, then check status codes, redirects, canonicals, indexability, metadata and headings. We also look at content depth and freshness, JSON-LD completeness, FAQ coverage, authorship, contact and trust signals, internal links and outbound citations.

Run it twice, get two different scores?

Never. Scoring is rule-based and deterministic, so the same content gets the same scores every time. An optional AI pass can polish the wording of summaries and explanations. It can’t touch a score or change what we observed on your pages.

Do I have to pay to see how it works?

No. The instant demo and the free homepage preview both run with no account. When you want the full picture, one complete audit is $49 once, or plans start at $29 a month.

Is it safe to aim this at my own site?

Yes. The crawler announces itself as RankClear-Auditor and obeys robots.txt. It requests public pages only. It never signs in, never submits a form and never runs a downloaded file. Think of it as a polite search crawler.

Can I check a competitor?

You can add competitor URLs for comparison. We fetch one public homepage per competitor and stop there, with no deep crawl. For your own site, you confirm you’re authorized to audit it when you set up the audit.
